Pangbourne Art Group meets every Wednesday afternoon at Pangbourne Village Hall from 1.00pm to 4.00pm.
Anyone who is interested in painting and drawing is most welcome to come along and join us, so do pop in at any time and a warm welcome will be made to you.
We don’t have a teacher, but there is help and advice if you need it.
In the better weather we have trips to paint outside with a picnic or a pub lunch. We paint locally at local beauty spots including along the Ridgeway or the Thames.
Every year, in the autumn we hold an exhibition of our work, in 2019 it will be November 9th& 10th .
Activities for 2018
Early in the year we had a watercolour workshop with Paul Weaver on boats, harbours and reflections on water. This gave us all inspiration to go out painting along the Thames especially around the Henley area where we are spoilt for choice with all the different types of boats to tackle.
Not only do we like painting boats but we do like to have a cream tea on them as well! which we did just that during the nice weather in July going from Henley to Hambleden.
Our en plein air ventures out this year have been to Aldworth, Ewelme and to Hambleden with local artist, Kevin Sculley. Many of our members go on workshops and painting holidays throughout the country. We are a busy lot!
