Exhibition Saturday 10th & Sunday 11th November 2018
We had a very successful exhibition. Over 300 visitors and some nice comments about the work on show.
Preparation for the exhibition starts early in the year with Sue Frewin starting to organise the design of the posters, choosing a painting from one of our members for this. Everything must be ready for the printers towards the end of summer term. Diane Jones organises the catering as most members make delicious cakes for this occasion, thus having a great variety of homemade cakes which needless to say all sell very well. All members are involved in something one way or another.
Many thanks must also go to the men, both Pangbourne and Purley who did a stirling job transporting and erecting the panels.
As in previous years, we asked visitors to vote for their favourite painting, many found this quite a difficult task, but the overall winner was Celia Coleman with her painting of ‘Buttercup Fields’. This indeed, was well deserved as she said it took her quite a while doing all those Buttercups!
